Be one of our first drivers
We're building a delivery network that treats drivers like people, not numbers. We're early, and we want the first drivers to help shape it.

We're early, and we'll be upfront about it
BuyNearby is a growing Calgary company. Delivery is one part of a bigger ecosystem that includes local stores, restaurants, suppliers and a courier service. Your work is the part that connects it all.
We're onboarding slowly and approving only our first few drivers. We need your feedback to get this right before we open to everyone. If you join us now, we'll ask for your honest input, and we'd be grateful for your support while we grow.
How we're different from the big gig apps
A real person answersYou'll know who to call. Problems are handled by people who know your name, not a chatbot or a ticket queue.
Fair, transparent payYou're paid for the distance you drive, with a minimum so short trips still make sense. Tips go to you.
See it before you acceptYour earnings, distance and time show on each route before you commit. Decline anything without being penalized.
A say in how it's builtEarly drivers help decide what we fix and build next. The founders read your feedback.
What you need
- Valid driver's license and a vehicle (bike, car, van or truck)
- Auto insurance that covers delivery use
- A smartphone, to take jobs and photograph proof of delivery
- 18+ and eligible to work in Canada
How it works
- Apply: your details, your documents, and the contractor agreement (about 5 minutes).
- We review: spots in our first group are limited. Everyone who applies stays on our list, and we'll contact you personally.
- If approved: connect your bank through Stripe, go online and take the routes you like.
- When we open to everyone: the waiting list gets first access.
You're an independent contractor and handle your own taxes. Pay rates and terms are set out in the agreement you review before applying. Earnings depend on demand, distance and tips and aren't guaranteed.
